International Women in Science & Education

7th March 2024, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

In celebration of International Women’s Day (Friday 8 March), join us for the annual IWiSE Conference hosted by the Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC), taking place on Thursday 7 March at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. This year’s event will be hybrid, with a focus on entrepreneurship and an emphasis on innovative business approaches – “taking the science from the lab to the market“.

Join us to hear from a wide range of international speakers who bring with them an insight into women’s experiences in the business side of STEM, ranging from venture capitalists looking for their next investment opportunity, to scientists that now have a successful company.

Learn how to make an even bigger impact with your science whilst having the valuable opportunity to connect with other like-minded people.

This event is open to all who want to learn from these experts about how to make the most impact with your science and who want to explore the diverse opportunities and career pathways in STEM.
