Saturday Coding 22 June

Saturday Coding Club for young people aged 8-18, using arduinos and mindstorms as well as coding – this series of events focuses on peer learning and allows participants to build a relationship with STFC.  The event finishes with a presentation session where participants present their work to friends and family.

Course in Satellite Communications and Navigation – 1st -5th July

This course gives a complete introductory overview of satellite communications and navigation. The target audience is graduates and young professionals with an engineering and/or financial background and senior professionals wishing to expand their background towards satcoms systems and services.

The week long course investigates the technical, financial and business aspects of satellite communications, linking market requirements to technical capabilities while considering the crucial aspects of costs and financing (fees apply).

This 2-day course will renew a current First Aid at Work certificate for a further 3 years. Must be taken with 30 days after the expiry date of current certificate

Engineering Your Future 4 July

Engineering Your Future is a careers event to help students in Year 12 to find out more about different careers available to them if they choose to progress with work or study in the field of engineering. A carousel of engineering focused workshops and a Diamond tour for Key Stage 5 (A level, aged 16-18) students with a careers fair over lunch.

Engineering Experience Week 8 July

July 8, 2019

Year 10/12 students will take part in team work experience projects, with graduates and apprentices as mentors and a presentation and celebration session for friends, family and teachers.
