Dr Ackert-Bicknell is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado, Department of Orthopedics. Her research focuses on genetic regulation of bone mass, with an emphasis on bone formation and strength, to improve understanding of both the genetic basis of bone disease and the response of bone to environmental variables.
