7th Annual Workshop on Advances in X-Ray Imaging

19th June 2024, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

We are really excited to announce that we are running our X-Ray Imaging workshop again, for the 7th time, on Wednesday 19th June. This event is a collaboration between The University of Manchester at Harwell, 3Dmagination and the Collaborative Computational Project in Tomographic Imaging (CCPi) with the aim of bringing together scientists from different fields to discuss developments and applications of a variety of X-Ray imaging and complementary techniques, and to build international collaborations.

The topic of this year’s conference will focus on correlative imaging techniques (coupling X-rays, neutrons, diffraction), 4D in situ imaging (X-ray tomography), Big Data/Machine learning and quantification of data (advanced image processing, in situ strain mapping, modelling).

Professor Jayne Lawrence (Director, The University of Manchester at Harwell) will open the workshop and deliver the welcome speech, followed by presentations from the following:

  • Dr Sharif Ahmed – Diamond Light Source, UK
  • Dr Awen Autret – Novitum, France
  • Dr Mark Basham – The Rosalind Franklin Institute, UK
  • Dr Ramona Duman, Diamond Light Source, UK
  • Dr David Eastwood – The University of Manchester at Harwell, UK
  • Prof. Bill Lionheart, The University of Manchester, UK
  • Dr Federico Sket – IMDEA Materials Institute, Spain
  • Dr Yenti Swolfs – KU Leuven, Belgium

The full agenda can be viewed here.

Secure your attendance by following the link below. Registration closes at 12:00 (midday) on Wednesday 12 June.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

A poster session is included with this workshop. Attendees are invited to bring a poster to be displayed throughout. These will be judged by the scientific committee and prizes awarded against set criteria. More information can be found here.
