Jason is the Development and Construction Director with responsibility for the planning, design and construction of new buildings, amenity facilities, infrastructure and landscaping as well as reinvigorating the existing buildings and improvement of the campus environment and transport provisions.
Jason is a Member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He initially qualified as a Quantity Surveyor and worked in construction consultancy throughout the UK, from an Oxford base. He subsequently moved into Project Management, working for a leading business park developer with projects throughout the UK, leading to his appointment as Regional Construction Director for the south and midlands region and then Construction Director for Science Parks.
Jason has been part of the Harwell Campus Partnership team since 2009 and in this time has established a high quality blueprint for development of the Campus vision, has opened up the site with new roads and has enabled an expansion of the Campus population and enhancement in workplace facilities through the completion of a growing number of building projects.
Jason is passionate about evolving the quality of design of new buildings across the campus and in setting these within an environment that respects and values the existing landscape whilst enhancing this with new landscaping. He is particularly driven towards seeking improvement against the challenges that the construction industry faces in site management and project delivery. Jason puts a high value on the history and legacy of previous use of the Harwell site and surrounding area and seeks to respect this whilst being driven to deliver a master plan and development that provides a modern work/live/play campus with the amenities and improved wider travel choices that are necessary to support it.
Jason lives in Oxfordshire. Outside of work he is a dedicated supporter of the local youth football and rugby scene and particularly the clubs that his sons play for as well as being a life long supporter of Oxford United. Jason has a keen interest in history and takes all opportunities he can to travel the world.
