With over 30 years’ marketing, PR and event management experience, Fiona heads up marketing at Harwell Campus Management. Her role is to promote the campus to key stakeholders and to amplify the incredible work that it is done by the 200+ organisations here. She has managed high profile events including Royal visits to Harwell, cluster launches and events, New Scientist Live, BioTrinity, City Hall and St James’s Palace events. Her remit also encompasses marketing collateral, website development, brand and business support on campus.
Fiona spent 18 years in the telecommunications sector at BT in marketing, campaign and product marketing roles, later running her own marketing company working with clients including Against Breast Cancer and the Open University. She also ran leadership development programmes in Oxford for Vice Chancellors from universities abroad as well as delivering a memorable programme in 2013 in Tripoli, Libya to members of a dozen universities there.
Fiona has also worked agency side, with clients including Mars, Monsanto and IFFO (the Marine Ingredients Organisation) and in her spare time she is involved in her family farming business locally and enjoys walking, travelling abroad, practicing her rusty language skills and ancestry research.
