We are delighted to invite you to this Harwell Connect networking event hosted by the Rosalind Franklin Institute on Tuesday 17 October from 3.00pm.

Join the Harwell Connect team to hear from RFI’s Professor Angus Kirkland, who’ll give an overview of The Franklin and its latest developments, and MRC’s Mark Gardiner, who’ll talk about the MLC-PET project in collaboration.

During the event, there will be opportunities to take short tours of The Franklin labs and facilities, alongside plenty of time for networking over tea, coffee and cakes. Please indicate when registering if you would like to join a tour.

Established in 2018 by ten top UK universities, The Rosalind Franklin Institute (RFI) is dedicated to developing tomorrow’s life science innovations through technology development and needle-point research. It creates disruptive technologies that can reveal the inner-workings of life, from pea-sized tumours through to picometre-scale atoms. The state-of-the-art tools and projects accelerate the development of new medicines, advance medical diagnostics and push forward the frontiers of microbiology to deepen out understanding of human health and disease. RFI collaborates with partners from across industry and science to ensure their critical research has a real impact in the world.

Harwell Connect’s events are open to all campus organisations and sectors, providing a central forum to network and meet colleagues from the 200+ companies and facilities spread across the site. Hosted by a different campus organisation each time, they provide an opportunity to visit some of the buildings you may never have been inside before to learn about their contributions to not only Campus life, but world-wide industry.
