Recruiting skilled technicians is becoming an increasing challenge for many businesses – especially for the smaller and micro enterprises often based on science parks. School and college leavers who’ve completed a T-Level qualification could be the ideal solution.
These students bring a strong foundation of technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional behaviours across areas such as business, digital technologies, and laboratory science – and are ready to take the first steps in their careers.
The Oxfordshire Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) sets out a clear plan to make sure local people have the right skills for local jobs, and with focus on Health and Life Sciences as a priority sector, the time is right to engage with T-Level students from City of Oxford College, and their teachers, to support and engage with local early technical talent.
