8th Annual Workshop on Advances in X-Ray Imaging
We are really excited to announce that we are running our X-Ray Imaging workshop again, for the 8th time, on Tuesday 24th June. This event is a collaboration between The University of Manchester at Harwell, 3Dmagination and the Collaborative Computational Project in Tomographic Imaging (CCPi) with the aim of bringing together scientists from different fields to discuss developments and applications of a variety of X-Ray imaging and complementary techniques, and to build international collaborations.
The topic of this year’s conference will focus on correlative imaging techniques (coupling X-rays, neutrons, diffraction), 4D in situ imaging (X-ray tomography), Big Data/Machine learning and quantification of data (advanced image processing, in situ strain mapping, modelling).
Professor Jayne Lawrence (Director, The University of Manchester at Harwell) will open the workshop and deliver the welcome speech, followed by presentations from our invited speakers, including:
- Sandro Olivo – University College London
- Angharad Smith – The Rosalind Franklin Institute
- Alessandro Tengattini – Institut Laue-Langevin
- Thomas Zillhardt – Diamond Light Source
- Franck Vidal – Science and Technology Facilities Council
- Jakob Sauer Jørgensen, DTU Technical University of Denmark
** Please note, this is an in-person event only. This event will not be recorded and there will be no capacity to join online.
Secure your attendance by following the link below. Registration closes at 12:00 (midday) on Wednesday 18 June.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
A poster session is included with this workshop. Attendees are invited to bring a poster to be displayed throughout. These will be judged by the scientific committee and prizes awarded against set criteria. More information can be found here.
